Sir Peter Bazalgette speaks on Art and Change
15 March 2016
Sir Peter Bazalgette travelled to Norfolk to give a talk recently to over 130 Sixth Form students at Sheringham High School.
As Chair of Arts Council England with a long career in television, he was able to give students an authoritative and experienced view of the arts. Talking about change and risk, he pointed out to students that ‘what is outrageous today is mainstream tomorrow.’
When he moved on to take questions from students, the Sixth Formers asked questions on a huge range of topics – creative, technical and political. Sir Peter answered very openly, giving detailed answers and asking students about their own views on the subjects raised, from the focus on sports on TV to diversity in the creative industries and much more.
Our thanks go to Sir Peter Bazalgette and to Sheringham High School for making this brilliant event possible!
