Biography

Craig Coben is the Head of Global Equity Capital Markets at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He is based in London and responsible for managing the day to day operations of the firm’s Equity Capital Markets business globally.

Craig joined the firm in 2005 as a Managing Director and was named head of Equity Capital Markets for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) in 2009. Craig has led the execution of some of the largest and most innovative equity and equity-linked offerings, including landmark jumbo privatisations, throughout the EMEA region. He is recognised as one of the leading equity capital markets financiers and has been listed in Financial News’s FN100 Top 100 Most Influential and in Euroweek’s ECM ‘Dream Team’. He also served as Chairman of the Equity Capital Markets Division of the Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME) from 2009-2015. Outside work, Craig is on the Board of Governors of Presence Theatre and a frequent guest co-host for Cottage Talk, a fan talk radio show for Fulham FC fans.

Craig’s previous professional experience includes acting as Law Clerk to Judge Douglas Ginsburg, U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit; practicing securities and corporate law at Sullivan & Cromwell; and working in the Equity Capital Markets department at Deutsche Bank, rising to the level of Managing Director. Craig holds a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University and a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School.
