Chartered accountant turned Theatre Chief Executive, Dave Murphy has been at Cambridge Arts Theatre since 2003. As well as programming around forty six weeks of theatrical productions each year and producing musicals and pantomimes he also ensures the theatre runs smoothly and the books balance. In addition he runs the charitable trust which manages the Theatre and is leading a major capital fundraising campaign to build a new Foyer and Studio Theatre.

Until 2009 he was Chairman of The Arthur Rank Hospice Charity in Cambridge.
