Howard Kerr

Howard stepped down as CEO of BSI Group in early 2021 having been appointed to the BSI Board in November 2008 and the position of Chief Executive in January 2009. BSI is the global business standards company involved in publishing, training, assurance services, consultancy and compliance solutions. After a period at Associated British Ports his early career was spent in business development roles in the fields of shipping, logistics and B2B marketing with Inchcape plc in the UK, Japan, China and the Middle East. Subsequently he joined SHV Holdings NV where he held general management positions in the energy division, including Chief Executive of Calor Group, UK and Senior Vice President on the International Management Board of SHV Gas in The Netherlands. He is now an Advisor to Private Equity firms seeking to make investments in the Business Services sector, and a Governor of Dulwich College.
Howard attended Brinkburn School in Hartlepool and is a graduate of St. John’s College, Oxford University. He also has an MBA from Cranfield University.
