Lord Robert Mercer-Nairne

Writer / Businessman

With an American mother and Scottish father I grew up appreciating the differences between peoples. Over the years this has prompted me to delve deeper into how societies work. I have a doctorate in Organization Theory form the University of Washington (Seattle) and am a fellow of the UK Chartered Management Institute.

I built up a business in the 1970s and since then have published four novels, two collections of poetry and one book on political theory (also one play, yet to be performed). The ‘university of life’ has taught me most – and I’m still learning!
