Generate London hosts Dr. Henrietta Bowden-Jones on 12th December 2017
25 November 2017
In addition to our own events, Speakers for Schools helps sign-post free, inspiring and informative enrichment opportunities for state schools and their students, such as Generate London events.
As a charitable project, Generate London hosts interactive workshops and talks with industry leaders outside of school hours, each session providing a number of free tickets to state school students. These are special after-school workshops where they reserve spaces especially for students from schools within our network.
Generate’s next speaker is Dr. Henrietta Bowden-Jones, a medical doctor and neuroscience researcher working as a consultant psychiatrist in addictions.
She is also the Founder and Director of the National Problem Gambling Clinic in the UK, which is now in its 10th Year. She runs a gambling disorders research group and has been the recipient of Medical Research Council grants and Wolfson Fellowships as well as several prizes and awards.
Henrietta has lectured nationally and internationally and is frequently interviewed in the press as an authority on addictions. She is also Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer (Dept of Medicine) at Imperial College where she teaches and where she obtained her Medical Doctorate.
Come to GENERATE to hear her story!
