Biography

Alex is a Manchester based radio presenter and broadcaster, voice-over, event host and public speaker. With over a decade of presenting skills and a passion for new, and popular music, Alex has worked for some of the UK’s biggest commercial radio groups and is a regular contributor for the BBC.
Alex is currently part of the presenting line up for the recently launched Hits Radio (formerly Key 103) the UK’s first national commercial radio station broadcasting from Manchester. In addition to his presenting duties Alex is currently a visiting lecturer at The University of Chester’s media department and produces the TfGM Podcast.
His time on air has seen him interview some of the world’s biggest music and film stars – from Rihanna and Katy Perry through to Mumford and Sons and One Direction. At the forefront of entertainment radio Alex has presented world exclusive content including unique access to artists including Coldplay, Adele, Lady GaGa and Pink.
He has hosted many major public and corporate events including the Manchester City Centre Christmas Light Switch On, Manchester Day Parade, several major music events and the international announcement for Robbie Williams’ World Tour in 2012.
Over the last three years Alex has led coaching and development of new and existing broadcasting talent through the Bauer Academy. Many of the students who have been part of his courses are now broadcasting full time on commercial radio.
Alex uses his unique personal insight and knowledge to deliver public speaking workshops and courses for leading businesses and public bodies to help aid and develop employees skills and confidence. Participants include Burness Paull Solicitors, Transport for Greater Manchester and Manchester City Council.
​Alex graduated from The University of Manchester in 2002 and worked for the Recruitment and Admissions department before pursuing a full time career in Broadcasting.
