Dr. Anil Seth

Biography

Anil Seth is Director of the Sackler Centre for Consciousness Science at the University of Sussex. Work in his lab is pioneering our understanding of the biology and neuroscience of consciousness, a key challenge for twenty-first century science. Anil attended (state) school in Wantage, Oxfordshire, before taking a degree in Natural Sciences at Cambridge University. He then did postgraduate work at Sussex and in San Diego, California, returning to Sussex in 2006. As well as publishing in top science journals, Anil engages regularly in public speaking and art-science events worldwide. He lives in Brighton, is a keen surfer, and plays football badly.
