Lucy Neville-Rolfe, CMG, was appointed Executive Director (Corporate and Legal Affairs) of Tesco Plc on 14 December 2006. Since she joined Tesco it has moved from its core UK grocery roots into non-food services – and 13 overseas markets from the Far East to the United States.

Lucy has had two careers. Until 1997 she worked in a number of Government departments and was a member of the Prime Minister’s Policy Unit in 10 Downing Street from 1992-1994.

Lucy is a Non-Executive Director of ITV Plc and Deputy Chairman of the British Retail Consortium. She is also a member of the China and India Britain Business Councils and the Government’s Efficiency Board. Lucy is also a member of the London Business School’s Governing Body.

Lucy was awarded the CMG in the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2005.

She read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Somerville College, Oxford where she is an Honorary Fellow. She is married with 4 sons aged 17-30.
