Biography

Chris Payne has 20 years of games industry experience programming for Electronic Arts, Intelligent Games and Traveller’s Tales.

He studied Computer Science and was president of the Role-Playing Society at Nottingham University, and has worked in the video games industry for nearly two decades at various studios including Pepper’s Ghost Productions, Electronic Arts and Intelligent Games. Chris has worked on 26 published titles including many of the award-winning LEGO games.

He now runs his own company Quantum Soup Studios, and is a co-founder of outreach group Games Wales North.

In his spare time, Chris directs short films and music videos, participates in game jams, rolls dice, live role-plays, and builds amazing things in Minecraft with his young daughter.
