Biography

David Evans is an Emmy-nominated, multi-award winning director of film and television. Over a twenty year career he has made documentaries and a wide range of drama, from ‘Shameless’ to several episodes of ‘Downton Abbey’, as well as the feature film ‘Fever Pitch’ starring Colin Firth. Last year David completed two very different projects: for Channel 4, the first three episodes of ‘Cucumber’, a drama series about the misadventures of a middle-aged gay couple, written by Russell T Davies; and a feature-length documentary about the sons of two senior Nazis, for ‘Storyville’ at the BBC. He is currently back at ‘Downton Abbey’, working on the concluding episodes of the final series.
