David Hellier

UK Business Writer at Bloomberg

Biography

I have worked as a financial journalist throughout Fleet Street. When I started in the 1980s it was the dying days of hot metal and the old printing unions. There was no email, twitter or even computers.
My work has focused on the financial sector but I did get very involved in the defence scandal of the 1990s, known as the arms to Iraq affair. That took me to lunches at Private Eye and to television documentaries.
I have worked at the Independent, the Express and the Standard, CityAM and now I am a UK business writer at Bloomberg.
