Deborah Curtis

Director, House of Fairy Tales

Together with artist Gavin Turk, I founded the creative arts organisation The House of Fairy Tales in 2006 to produce and advocate for high quality, arts adventures for children and young people. Over the last 13 years we have worked with over 50 different trusts, galleries, museums, festivals and local authorities such as The National Trust, Tate, RHS and RSC as well as hundreds of schools. Collaborating with hundreds of talented artists, performers, storytellers, scientists and engineers we have inspired imagination, creativity and critical thinking in tens of thousands of young people, their families and educators. We are currently working on a major initiative called The Great Imagining which aims to inspire all generations to imagine and help build a sustainable future which has transitioned to a carbon neutral economy.
