Donald Wilson is a Senior Director with Royal Bank of Scotland leading a team responsible for the delivery of credit facilities to over 3,500 of the banks Corporate and Commercial clients in Scotland.
Raised in Lanarkshire and educated at Coltness High School in Wishaw, Donald joined Royal Bank of Scotland in Shotts in 1981 before joining Clydesdale Bank in 1997 and returning to Royal Bank of Scotland in 2003. Donald is a Chartered Banker and Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland.
Donald’s career started in retail / branch banking followed by a spell within the banks legal department and subsequently he has built up over 25 years of experience in various Corporate and Commercial banking roles. He has worked directly with and led teams focusing on small, medium and large companies in Scotland. Donald has also been a key player in the design, implementation and embedding of operational and technology changes within the banks Capital & Transaction Management business in recent years. In addition, he leads a number of business wide simplification and efficiency projects.
