Dr. Rebecca Laemmle

Lecturer in Classics, Fellow of Pembroke College

I am a Swiss classicist and hold a phd in Classics from the University of Basel, where I held a senior lectureship in Greek literature. I came to Cambridge as a visiting scholar in 2015, and in 2016, I was appointed to a 3-y lectureship in Classics (Greek literature) at the University of Cambridge.
In 2015, I became an Associate Visiting Fellow, and in 2016, a Full Fellow of Pembroke College. My main area of expertise is Greek drama (tragedy, comedy, satyr play), and I currently work on the Hellenistic skeptic philosopher-poet Timon of Phleius; but I am interested in all ancient Greek literature.
