Biography

Ed is a BAFTA nominated children’s television presenter and has over 10 years’ experience live, pre-recorded, in studio and on location.

He currently presents ‘Marrying Mum and Dad’ as well as his comedy travelogue show ‘All Over the Place’ for CBBC, which are now on their third and fifth series respectively.

Ed was the main continuity presenter on CBBC for 3 years and was nominated for a BAFTA for Best Children’s Presenter in 2008. His other CBBC shows include ‘Ed and Oucho’s Excellent Inventions’ and ‘Transmission Impossible with Ed and Oucho’.

He was a member of the National Youth Theatre throughout the 1990s and went on to study Drama at Goldsmiths College in London. He began performing stand-up in 2002 and a year later gave up his job as a TV researcher to become a full-time stand-up comedian, actor and television presenter. Ed soon found himself regularly presenting children’s television on Nickelodeon.

As well as his television work, Ed has continued performing stand-up comedy and recently supported the comedian Greg Davies on his tour. He has also enjoyed taking part in a number of pantomimes around the country.

This year will see Ed’s return to the British Museum following his part in last year’s successful, live, worldwide cinema broadcast of the Pompeii exhibition. Ed will be taking part in 2014’s follow up – The Vikings.
