Biography

Born 1965. I grew up in Dundee and was educated at two state schools. At 17 I joined the local radio station where I learned about the medium. Joined the BBC in Glasgow in 1987 as a sub-editor, and moved into radio and TV presentation. Have worked on a variety of news and current affairs shows in Scotland and London. Helped launch Radio 5 Live, the BBC World Service programme “The World” and others. Now present PM and iPM on BBC Radio 4 as well as writing regularly for Radio Times.
