Former CEO of Urdd Gobaith Cymru
In 2000, Efa joined Urdd Gobaith Cymru (Wales’ largest voluntary organisation for children and young people) as their Director of Development, responsible for fundraising and policy development.
In 2004, she became the Chief Executive of the Urdd. The Urdd has 270 members of staff, around 10,000 volunteers and 50,000 members between the ages of 8 and 25, and offers activities as varied as eisteddfodau, sporting opportunities, residential activity centres and much more. All with the aim of increasing and developing the use of Welsh.
Since then, the Urdd has established a Sports Department, successfully opened a residential centre within the Wales Millennium Centre and have developed European Funded capital and revenue projects.
