James is founder and CEO of carwow, launched in 2012 to improve the car buying experience. He studied Finance at university but was put off a city career after just 2 months of trying one. James first started carwow in his parent’s attic and has since grown it to a company of 70+ in its central London office, plus a new team in Munich, Germany. carwow has powered more than 25,000 new car sales and more than £600m worth of new cars have been sold by carwow partner dealers. carwow is backed by leading VCs who are behind success stories including: Zoopla, Facebook and Spotify.
James’ participation has been made possible through Speakers for Schools partnership with the UK Automotive 30% Club and his school talks will include a focus on inspiring girls to consider opportunities in the automotive sector and encouraging all students to aim high.
