John Booth

John graduated from Oxford University in Modern Languages. He began his career in advertising but switched, after a couple of years, to Merrill Lynch, where he worked in the US stock market. He was Head of International Equities at Bankers Trust, following which he co-founded equity brokerage firm, Link and has been a venture capital investor in technology, media, telecoms and financial services for more than 20 years. After selling Link to ICAP plc in 2008 he established a charitable foundation which supports education and the arts. He is an Enterprise Fellow of The Prince’s Trust and a trustee of several charities.
