Former CEO of Arqiva and COO of ITV
John has worked in the technology, media and telecommunications
sector for 30 years and has substantial experience leading, growing
and advising media and broadcast organisations at CEO and
Executive director levels.
Most recently he was CEO of Arqiva the broadcast technology
business where he led the company to record revenue and profits
over 5 years.
Prior to that he worked for ITV for 22 years in both the broadcasting
and production sides of the business before serving as Chief
Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Interim CEO of ITV plc.
He served as a Director of Liverpool Football and Athletic Grounds
for several years and remains a Life Vice President and was
previously a Director of Ambassador Theatre Group and ITN. John
has also been a member of Business in the Community.
John qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG, has a BSc in
Economics and Politics, and attended the Advanced Management
Programme at Harvard Business School.
John is currently an Independent Non-executive Director of Capita plc
where he chairs the Remuneration Committee.
His personal interests include watching rugby, movies and the theatre
and getting out on his bike.
