Biography

Having started out in sales for Rough Trade and London Records and with a background through his various employments in marketing John is currently a Director of Domino Recordings and Domino Publishing , looking after the day to day running of the label and its’ companies. Domino Records was founded in London in 1993. It is home to bands that include Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys, Animal Collective, Wild Beasts and Hot Chip.

John leads the digital strategies and operations for both the record label and its music publishing company.

Remaining entirely independent, it now has offices in Brooklyn New York, Berlin and Paris.

John’s previous positions include: General Manager of PIAS Recordings and PIAS Joint ventures including Fat Cat Records, Marketing Manager at Mute Records and as a consultant for various independent labels including Creation, Produce and One Little Indian. He has also partnered a small retail chain of record stores.
