Head of Patient Experience, NHS Improvement
Julia Holding is Head of Patient Experience at NHS Improvement. Julia has had a long and varied career in the NHS, having worked in nursing, and as a midwife and Health Visitor, other roles have included, managing multi-agency community public health teams, managing big scale NHS change programmes and working with the Department of Health to design patient involvement and experience policy.
The constant, throughout her career has been an unrelenting focus on people who are recipients of care and those at the front line who are responsible for delivering it. She believes unerringly that NHS organisations, be they providers or commissioners, which maintain this focus, are best placed to deliver care and services which truly meet people’s needs.
Julia currently juggles work, with her role as a carer for a family member with Alzheimer’s Disease.
