Kate Middleton

Director for Education, Council for Arab British Understanding


The Council for Arab British Understanding improves the quality of knowledge of the Arab world, tackling topics including Islamophobia, the perception of the Arab World and the impact of the Refugee Crisis. Kate is Education Director at Caabu and works to address misinformation and encourage debate in schools. Caabu confronts the most challenging of questions so that students start to question the information they receive and break down stereotypes.

Before arriving at Caabu, Kate worked for NGO, InterEuropean Aid in Greece. Based in a refugee camp in the North, Kate managed first response aid, assisting refugees crossing the land border with Turkey. Kate’s background is History teaching. Graduating from Cambridge, Kate was Head of History at two secondary Academy’s based in Hackney.
