National Technology Adviser, UK Government
Liam Maxwell is the National Technology Adviser for HM Government. He’s the lead policy official for technology policy. His remit includes the requirement to make the UK the best place to start or build technology businesses. He was the Chief Technology Officer for HMG from 2011-16 leading the IT reforms that brought modern technology to the civil service and generated £3.5bn of savings in 2014-16. He’s a founder of Holyport College Free School, has previously served as a councillor, a teacher and Head of IT for FTSE100 and Fortune 500 companies.
