Biography

Lucy is CEO of Community Clothing, a social enterprise with a mission to sustain and create jobs in the UK textile and garment manufacturing industry, where many of the workforce are at risk from the closure of factories. Together with Founder Patrick Grant, Lucy has focused on delivering the company’s social impact, collaborating with organisations working with vulnerable women and the long-term unemployed, many of whom live in underprivileged communities.

Lucy’s career began at a fashion start up in New York and has taken her from the pages of The Lady Magazine to the Playboy Mansion. Before Community Clothing Lucy was a Board Director at J Walter Thompson, running the Graduate Recruitment and training programme often dubbed ‘The University of Advertising.’

Lucy is passionate about mentoring talent and encouraging pathways into employment for young people. She regularly speaks on industry trends, sustainable fashion and social enterprise at events including WGSN, AdWeek Europe, The Crowd etc

She is number 22 in the Financial Times and HERoes list of top 50 Champions of Women in Business (2017).
