Nicola Rutt

Architect and Partner, HawkinsBrown Architects

Nicola is an architect and partner at one of the UK’s leading architects practices, HawkinsBrown. Qualifying in 2001, she now co-leads a team of 20 architects and assistants working on a range of projects. Her interest reflects that of the practice- to design and deliver places with personality and purpose that are well-made, well-used and well-loved. Her particular interest is in the adaptive reuse of existing buildings and her latest completed project is the refurbishment of the former press and broadcast centres at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to create a new innovation campus bringing together business, educational and cultural uses with a focus on digital technology. Current projects vary in scale but are all workplaces with the purpose of bringing people together in environments that promote innovation and wellbeing.
