Former CEO, Ordnance Survey & Non-executive Director, Anite
I started in the ‘C’ stream at school and found my way via Cambridge University to be a CEO for the last 20 years. I have led large public organisaions of 5000 people (6 hospitals in the East End of Glasgow), large private organisations (Symbian) and smaller, start up companies (Procserve and Tertio). I believe business is a fantastic career and technology is the best place to play – always changing, always with new questions and opportunties. I have lectured at a number of universities and business schools as well as colleges on business in general, marketing and innovation in particular.
