Biography

Pars joined PwC in 1981 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1984. In his time at PwC he has worked as the Executive Assistant to the UK Managing Partner as well as working in almost all areas of our practice. He is a seasoned professional with deep Asset Management credentials.
Pars is one of our most experienced asset management partners. His experience includes providing assurance, advisory and risk management services to the Asset Management sector. He focuses on managing large engagements and providing strategic advice to as well as support to our clients. Clients served by Pars in the Asset Management Sector cover Private Equity, Real Estate, Hedge Funds and Traditional Asset Managers. Until recently Pars was for 8 years our UK Asset Management Leader.

Summary experience and areas of expertise
Pars is and has been the lead partner on a number of our larger clients in the Asset Management sector. His work has included audit, investigations listings, corporate finance, consulting and strategy. A selection of his skills are as follows:

• Expert in investigations including forensic investigations at asset managers
• Detailed knowledge of corporate transactions
• Expert in regulatory environment change
• Lead the review of a series of pricing errors to reprice a series of funds
• Undertook a forensic investigation of a complicated group which involved unravelling inter group transactions which led to the accounts being completely restated
• Has undertaken a number of due diligence engagements and has assisted clients in the integration of the ‘acquired’ entities
• Led a number of listings engagements from floatation to corporate transactions
• Capital raising exercises including all of the reporting accountants roles associated with these fund raisings (working capital; short form; pro forma balance sheet etc.)
• Design of distribution strategies and operational effectiveness reviews
