Pete Higgin

Director of Enrichment, Punchdrunk

Peter is a founder member of Punchdrunk Theatre Company and has worked in various roles for the company since its inception in 2000. Punchdrunk is world renowned for its epic productions in abandoned or disused buildings or sites. The company currently has productions running in New York and Shanghai, and has toured work to Australia and Asia.

Peter always fostered a strong belief in the transformative power of the company’s practice and the importance of widening access to this work. In 2008, he established the Punchdrunk Enrichment, taking the company’s innovative practice into educational and community settings. His work is diverse: from magical installations in primary schools to large participatory performances in found spaces or long form storytelling projects in a care home. Since its inception, Punchdrunk Enrichment has engaged with over 100,000 participants.

Recent directing credits include Against Captain’s Orders (2015) and Small Wonders (2018). Since 2016 he has been joint CEO of the charity and oversees all artistic activity on this side of the business.
