Biography

Philip has been a professional advisor and business leader throughout his 30 year career. For the last 20 years he has operated in senior recruitment and founded Ridgeway Partners, the international leadership advisory firm, in 2004.

Previously, Philip worked for twenty years in the financial services, oil and search industries, first at Citibank NA, then as Head of M&A at NatWest Markets. In 1991, Philip joined the Board of Premier Oil plc as Commercial Director and focused on the development of its business in Asia. In 1993, he completed an MBO of GKR which, as Managing Partner, he sold in 2000 to the Whitehead Mann Group plc where he was Deputy Chief Executive until 2004.

Philip has extensive board experience. He has sat on the boards of two public companies and he is currently a trustee of the Royal Academy of Arts in London and Deputy Chairman of their Corporate Board. He also acts as an advisor to two educational trusts.

Philip was educated at Ampleforth and St Andrews University. He has a MA in History and History of Art.
