Biography

Richard Taylor is the Head of Investment Banking EMEA having joined Barclays as Head of Investment Banking UK & Ireland in January 2011. Previously, he was Head of UK and Ireland Corporate and Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He has wide experience across Mergers & Acquisitions, equity and debt-related transactions.
Mr Taylor joined Merrill Lynch in 2000. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, he worked for HSBC Investment Banking for 9 years, latterly as Head of M&A execution. In August 2004, he was promoted to be Co-Head of Investment Banking for Merrill Lynch in Germany and transferred back to the UK to focus further on the larger UK corporate accounts. In 2009, he was promoted to Head of UK Investment Banking and, in 2010, to be Head of UK and Ireland Corporate and Investment Banking.
