Business Editor, The Economist
I’m the United States Editor of The Economist, a British news magazine that is surprisingly popular in the rest of the world. I run our coverage of America.
I’ve been a journalist all my working life. I’ve reported from nearly 70 countries and lived in six, covering war, famine, trade, innovation and Barack Obama’s first presidential campaign. I’ve written two books: one about Africa, the other about how immigrants make the world brainier.
