HR Director, Goldman Sachs
Sally is head of the Human Capital Management (HCM) Division in EMEA and head of the HCM Americas Leadership Team. She also oversees HCM in Bangalore and has responsibility for Employee Relations globally. Sally serves on the Partnership Committee and the EMEA Senior Diversity Council and is a trustee of the Goldman Sachs UK Health Care Trust. She is also co- sponsor of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Network in EMEA. Sally joined Goldman Sachs in 1999 as an executive director and counsel in the Legal Department within the Support Division in London. She became senior counsel in 2001 and in 2003 she was appointed global co- head of the Employment Law Group. Sally was named managing director in 2003 and partner in 2010.
Prior to joining the firm, Sally was a partner at Mills & Reeve Solicitors. Before that, she was a solicitor with Simmons & Simmons.
Sally is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales and is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Judicature in England and Wales. She is also a member of the Council at The Cheltenham Ladies’ College, her former school, and is a trustee of the Brilliant Club, a nonprofit organization that seeks to widen access to top universities for outstanding students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Sally earned an MA in Law from Cambridge University in 1983. She and her husband, Karim Khalil QC, have two sons and live in Cambridge.
