Chief Marketing Officer, Nationwide
Sara went from Folkestone School for Girls to Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford where she studied English. After graduating, she spent the first 18 years of her career in advertising agencies in London and Bangkok working on a number of major clients including Unilever, Nestle, P&G and AOL. She then crossed over to ‘the other side’, first at BT managing their marketing communications, then at Barclays managing all their marketing and now at Nationwide where she is Chief Marketing Officer.
Sara is also Vice-Chair of ISBA, the body which represents all advertisers in the UK, a member of the General Media Panel advising the Advertising Standards Authority and a Trustee of a charity, The Prince’s Countryside Fund. Her main job, though, is being mum to four occasionally lovely but always wonderful children.
