Senior BBC Journalist
Simon Cox is a senior investigative reporter at BBC radio current affairs. He writes and presents for File on 4, The Report, Crossing Continents and From Our Own Correspondent on BBC Radio 4. He has also presented the technology programme, Click On and his own documentary strand, The Investigation on Radio 4. He also presents Assignment and The Newsroom on BBC World Service. He also writes for The Sunday Times Magazine.
Simon has reported from over 30 countries covering stories ranging from Ebola in DR Congo to the Oklahoma bombing. For the past decade he has been an investigative reporter at BBC Current Affairs. His investigations have included busting a global spam network; an expose of the leading suicide clinic, Dignitas; the assassination of a British-Iraqi family in France and the hunt for the world’s most wanted female terrorist.
He is also a journalism consultant and has worked with investigative reporters in Africa, South East Asia and the Middle East. He is currently engaged in a long term project mentoring young investigative journalists in the West Bank and Gaza strip.
