BBC News Correspondent & Author

Biography

I’m a BBC News Correspondent, working in radio, TV and online, with 20 years of media experience.
I’ve covered some of the biggest stories the south west of England has seen, including the Dawlish Rail Line washaway, the attempted terrorist bombing of an Exeter restaurant, the flooding of the Cornish village of Boscastle and the foot and mouth epidemic.
I’m also an author with seven crime fiction novels published, and a tutor in creative writing.
I mentor students at Exeter University in media careers, and have also talked about such careers at schools across Devon, along with inspirational speeches about the importance of having aspirations.
