Theo was born and brought up in Blaenavon, Wales where he attended his local state grammar school, West Mon School in Pontypool, before going on (with the benefit of full grants) to study at Jesus College, Cambridge and at Bar School in London. HIs family home has always been just outside Newport in south east Wales, and his children have all attended the local comprehensive school, Bassaleg School.

His particular specialties are in complex personal injury, industrial disease, product liability and clinical negligence cases, and he is head of the Clinical Negligence and a Personal Injury Team.
* was Counsel General for Wales during 2011-6, acting as ministerial Law Officer and senior legal advisor to the Welsh Government.
* is a Master of the Bench of Lincoln’s Inn and a Visiting Professor of Law at King’s College London.
* is General Editor of the Butterworths’ Personal Injury Litigation Service and also writes other legal textbooks in the field of personal injury and industrial disease work.
