Tristram Hunt

Tristram Hunt was educated at both Cambridge University and the University of Chicago.

He began work as a Lecturer in history at Queen Mary, University of London in 2002. His published books include, The English Civil War: At First Hand (Penguin); Building Jerusalem: The Rise and Fall of the Victorian City (Weidenfeld & Nicolson); The Frock-Coated Communist: The Revolutionary Life of Friedrich Engels (Penguin).

At the 2010 General Election, he was elected as the Member of Parliament for Stoke-on-Trent Central.
