Employer Placements

S4SNextGen: Our work experience and student placements programme

Talent is everywhere. Opportunities aren’t.

Visit our S4SNextGen website to see how our unique work experience programme connects young people access placements with top UK companies and organisations, free of charge.

Here’s how it works:

Why we are different

We help our state schools access prestigious placements at quality companies represented in our Speaker network.

Our platform S4SNextGen.org is a safeguarded online portal where we help our top employers advertise work experience placements and insight days directly to state school students in our national network. We help make this easier for employers and for schools to access high-calibre opportunities for the students who need it most.

Who do we work with?

We work with prestigious organisations of all sizes, from tech firms to large banks and cultural institutions,  connecting them to new students from our 1,700 strong state school network, aged 14 – 19 years.

Accessing future talent

Our aim is to help employers create valuable 1 – 2 week work experience placements for students who lack professional connections, with diversity, access and enthusiasm in mind.

Supported Placements

We support diverse employers who have never hosted before and those with existing programmes who are looking to widen their reach, depending on what help they need.

Participants can access a suite of tools to help with the administration and best-practice from industry expertise such as example schedules, manager guides, case studies, and preparation tools for students and schools.

How did it go?

Following the placement, students are asked to return a short feedback form about their placement. This is essential to our monitoring and ensuring we create the best quality and most impactful work experience for our students.

S4SNextGen is a free programme to help support better links between top employers and state schools to connect their students with invaluable opportunities such as work experience.
